All-American Solar Eclipse Event

On August 21, 2017, we will be treated to the first total eclipse of the sun visible in the continental United States in almost 40 years. Here in San Anselmo, we will experience a partial eclipse. The eclipse will last from 9:01 a.m. to 11:37 a.m., peaking at 10:15 a.m. At that time, the Moon will be covering 76% of the Sun from our vantage point, and it promises to be a spectacular sight, with the Moon appearing to take a large bite out of our sun. For a partial eclipse, you will need eclipse glasses to protect your eyes — pick up your free glasses at the Library Reference Desk today!

Join the Library on Monday, August 21 at 10am for an eclipse activity and viewing party!
