Responsibilities
The Historical Commission was established in June 1976 by Town Council Resolution #1657. The commission was created to preserve the history of San Anselmo and make its historical heritage known to present-day resident.

The commission researches aspects of San Anselmo history, interviews old-time residents and records their oral histories, collects and catalogs photographs and memorabilia and designs permanent and temporary displays for the Historical Museum.
