The Town's Housing Element is in the process of being updated, which is required to be done every five years per California State law.

The Planning Commission and the Town Council have reviewed the draft Housing Element and have approved sending it on to the State's Housing and Community Development Department (HCD) for review and comment.  This review can take up to 60 days and will provide the Town with important feedback as to whether or not our proposed programs meet the requirements of the State.  HCD's comments are expected by late fall, 2010.

Additional public hearings will then be held by both the Planning Commission and the Town Council regarding adoption of the Housing Element.
