Climate, Climate Change, and the Gardener with Marin Master Gardener Kathy Hunting

Understanding our climate and microclimates is key to choosing the right plants for our gardens, especially in the context of climate change. Come and learn how climate affects our gardens and best practices we can employ to adapt our gardens to climate change.
Kathy Hunting, a Master Gardener since 2014, is an environmental health scientist by training. She lives on a sunny acre in Point Reyes Station where her garden is full of tasty vegetables and fruits. She also attempts to grow ornaments that the deer will not find tasty.

Late Summer and Fall Vegetable Gardening

Learn what late summer vegetables you can plant, their issues, and how to prepare your fall vegetable garden. Marin Master Gardener Joe Jennings will discuss seed planting for the fall, garden transitioning, compost and fertilizing, and more!
Joe Jennings is a Marin Master Gardener who grows vegetables year-round in his home garden. He graduated from Whitman College and earned an MBA from the University of Washington.
