Tangled Vines: Greed, Murder, Obsession, and an Arsonist in the Vineyards of California
Friday, October 21
7:30pm, Library Reading Room
Wine will never taste the same again. Hear the story behind the fire with Bay Area author Frances Dinkelspiel and her personal connections to the fine wine in the flames. Copies of the New York Times bestselling book, Tangled Vines, will be available for purchase.

Doors open at 7pm for wine and cheese.

Frances Dinkelspiel is the author of the New York Times bestseller, Tangled Vines: Greed, Murder, Obsession and an Arsonist in the Vineyards of California. She will talk about a 2005 arson that destroyed $250 million worth of fine wine, making it the largest crime involving wine in history. Among the bottles lost were some made by her great-great grandfather in southern California in 1875. Dinkelspiel will talk about the passion and obsession many feel about wine and how her family's bottles reflect the history of winemaking in California.
