Winter Reading Challenge
December 15, 2020-January 31, 2021
Warm up with a good book and start 2021 off right in the San Anselmo Public Library's Winter Reading Challenge!
The Winter Reading Challenge is completely contactless. We have a new website on for you to keep track of your progress. Register for an account and sign up for the Winter Reading Challenge at this website: https://townofsananselmo.beanstack.org/
If you want a paper log, you can print one out here or request one in your next curbside pickup appointment.
Email library@townofsananselmo.org when both parts are complete and receive a coupon for a free book at Town Books!
Part One: Read!
The first part of the Winter Reading is to read! You choose the books and you log the time. For every thirty minutes you read, earn a badge on Beanstack or cross out an image on your paper log.
Part Two: Activities
Complete at least two of the activities from the list below:
- Start a journal: begin reflecting on 2020 and continue journaling in 2021. Visit our journaling website here for prompts and ideas.
- Read a 2020-themed book (count your minutes toward Part One). We have book lists for all ages:
- The Coronavirus pandemic has certainly made many feel they're living in a dystopian world lately. Have you traveled to other dystopias?
- Our country had an intense election, with the most voters ever turning out to vote and make their voices count.
- It's the holidays and a time to celebrate because we have survived the weirdest year ever! Read a favorite or new holiday book.
- Color in a winter or holiday scene. Here are a few coloring pages for you to print at home or choose your own online or in a favorite coloring book:
- Share a title of a book you've read this year with the San Anselmo Public Library! Write the title of a book on a raindrop (print one here or request one curbside) and return it to the library (can be returned in a book, an envelope, or emailed to us). We will post the raindrops around the library and create a list of the books for everyone to see.
