Sketchbook Drawing Workshop: Outside Light and Shapes Saturday, May 16, 11am, Council Chambers and Town Lawn Join professional artist and teacher Janet Jacobs for another Sketchbook Drawing Workshop at the San Anselmo Library.
In May, we turn to the great outdoors: we’ll sit on chairs outside and spend the hour drawing the shapes along San Anselmo Avenue. Paying close attention to the shapes we see as they move into deep space can help us make effective drawings. Layer on top of that the light, contrast, and detail changes that occur between near and far and we a get a more complex and rich drawing. We’ll start with simple compositions of the neighborhood and build to more complexity. This workshop is designed for all levels – bring a light sweater just in case.
Registration is required and all materials will be provided. Sign up at the reference desk, call 415-258-4656, or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
