Enki
With over 70,000 e-Book titles, Enki is a collection of popular fiction and nonfiction genres including romance, mysteries, travel, technical, crafts, cooking, and more. To read online or download to your mobile device with the Enki Library collection at http://marin.enkilibrary.org/
You can check out up to 5 titles at a time and have up to 5 holds using your library card number and password. Enki is best for iPads, Nooks, PCs, or smartphones.
Mobile Device Use
You can read Enki e-books on iOS or Android devices using the Adobe Digital Editions app. If this is your first time using the Adobe Digital Editions app, you must first create a free Adobe ID.
Before you can download and read Enki e-books on the Adobe Digital Editions app, you must first download the e-book file to your device using Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox (Safari web browser will not work for downloading the file).
Google Chrome:
- Use the Chrome web browser to navigate to http://marin.enkilibrary.org/
- Tap on "Go to Standard View"
- Select your library from the drop-down menu
- Login with your library card
- Find a title you want to checkout
- Tap the "Checkout" button under the title book jacket image
- Tap "Close" after checkout confirmation
- Tap the "Download" button next to the title in your Account
- In the Chrome web browser, you will be see an "Open In" link at the bottom of the page
- Tap the "Open In" link and select "Copy to Digital Editions" (you may need to scroll to the right and tap the "More" icon to see "Copy to Digital Editions" as an option)
- If prompted to do so by the Digital Editions app, login with your Adobe ID
Mozilla Firefox:
- Use the Firefox web browser to navigate to http://marin.enkilibrary.org/
- Tap on "Go to Standard View"
- Select your library from the drop-down menu
- Login with your library card
- Find a title you want to checkout
- Tap the "Checkout" button under the title book jacket image
- Tap "Close" after checkout confirmation
- Tap the "Download" button next to the title in your Account
- Tap "Download Now"
- Tap the "Downloads" button at the bottom of the screen
- Tap the "URLLink.acsm" item in the Downloads list
- In the Firefox browser, you will see a list of apps you can use to open the ebook file
- Tap "Copy to Digital Editions" (you may need to scroll to the right and tap the "More" icon to see "Copy to Digital Editions" as an option)
- If prompted to do so by the Digital Editions app, login with your Adobe ID
