The purpose of this Policy is to ensure that necessary records and documents of are adequately protected and maintained and to ensure that records that are no longer needed by Town of San Anselmo or are of no value are discarded at the proper time and in the proper. This Policy is also for the purpose of aiding employees of Town of San Anselmo in understanding their obligations in retaining electronic documents - including e-mail, Web files, text files, sound and movie files, PDF documents, and all Microsoft Office or other formatted files.

Develop and distribute Employee Informational Handbook.

Develop a one-stop handbook that clearly defines and explains employee benefits, supplementary programs, personal leave options, and other information that employees may have received at the time of employment.

Update Town telephone system.

Update the phone system from an analog system to a Voice Over Internet Protocol (VoIP) system to allow for increased efficiency and usability. Voice mails can be integrated into the email system to allow for better response capabilities and customer service.

  • Fiscal Impact: Lease option would keep costs at a similar level to what the Town pays for the existing phone service (Centrex)

Explore opportunities to foster and support employee wellness. 

Create opportunities to improve and support the wellness of Town’s employees. Introduce life changing options to address chronicle health issues and promote the importance of life/work balance. The wellness program will lead to: •    Increased productivity •    Lower absenteeism •    A happier, less stressed workforce •    Improvements in your health and well-being •    Greater employee loyalty, commitment and motivation
