Historical Commission

The Historical Commission was established in June 1976 by Town Council. The commission was created to preserve the history of San Anselmo and make its historical heritage known to present-day residents.
 
The commission researches aspects of San Anselmo history, interviews old-time residents and records their oral histories, collects and catalogs photographs and memorabilia and designs permanent and temporary displays for the Historical Museum.

Organization: Eleven members appointed by Town Council to serve a 4 year term, plus up to two Youth Commissioners appointed by the Commission to serve a one year term.
