Library Advisory Board

librarybannerThe Library Advisory Board was established in October 1976 by Town Council Resolution Ordinance #710 and updated with Ordinance #1064.  

Charge: The Library Advisory Board strives to encourage innovative programs and provide recommendations for improvements in cooperation with the Town Librarian. 

Purpose: The Library Advisory Board recommends guidelines for programs and facilities to meet the Library needs of the community.

Goals and Objectives: The objectives include reviewing reports from the town librarian concerning library operations, seeking ways to inform resident of library services, providing suggestions from library improvements, and soliciting constructive comments from the community. 

Organization: The board consists of seven members appointed by Town Council to serve four year terms.
