Volunteer!

Why Volunteer? How to Volunteer? Where to Volunteer? When to Volunteer?

Volunteers are crucial to the success of Red Hill Dog Park. Together, with the Dog Park Steering Committee (DPSC), volunteers to work to maintain and improve the park DAILY. While the Town of San Anselmo provides dog waste bags and removes the trash - EVERY other aspect of Red Hill Dog Park is done by volunteers.

Monthly Work Parties
Volunteers, along with the members of the DPSC, get together to clean up, improve and repair anything that needs a little TLC in the park.

The first Saturday of each month for two hours:
December - April: 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.
May - November: 8:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.

Each work party is designed and organized by the DPSC. Check in with one of the DPSC members for direction when you arrive.

Special Projects

Special projects include a variety of fundraising events, special park cleanups and Town of San Anselmo events, all of which require Volunteers:

  • Dog Photos with Santa fundraiser @ Pet Food Express -- in December, Santa shows up to pose for photos with dogs - all proceeds go to Red Hill Dog Park
  • Pet Wash Fundraiser @ Pet Food Express -- in March or April, we help with your spring cleaning by cleaning up the pooches - all proceeds go to Red Hill Dog Park
