Project Information
San Anselmo’s Department of Public Works has received grants from Caltrans and the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) for improvements to three of the Town’s bridges.
These bridges, all crossing San Anselmo Creek, are on Nokomis Avenue, Madrone Avenue and Center/Sycamore Avenue. All three bridges are Structurally Deficient and contribute to flooding in town because of their inadequate openings.
They will ultimately be replaced with modern structures that will accommodate safe travel for all roadway users and contribute to 100 year flood protection as part of the Ross Valley Flood Control Program. The three projects have just entered their design and environmental studies phase.
Project Updates
Public Meeting on Nokomis/Madrone Bridges is being held at the Town Hall Chambers on September 27th, 2018.
