Phase 2 involves painting and staining the entire playground and fencing. Last spring, community volunteers and Town staff worked for five Saturdays and completed Phase 1 of the Millennium Playground Restoration Project, which included repairing components within the playground and replacing ones that had reached the end of their useful life. Phase Two, which will take place on October 16th, involves applying paint and stain to the entire playground, including fencing. Phase Three will involve developing and executing a plan for improving and enhancing the playground. This work will begin in early 2022. The committee is hoping to sign-up 50 volunteers who would help finish Phase 2 in a single day. Community members with a background in construction and/or painting are highly encouraged to volunteer to help lead the effort on October 16th.
