Shelter-in-Reading Challenge for Adults and Teens

Looking for something to do? Read, choose activities and win raffle tickets while at home in our Reading in Place Challenge for Kids! Earn one raffle ticket for every activity and every book you read. These must be emailed in to jwaskey@townofsananselmo.org. Raffle prizes include gift certificates for treats at local restaurants! Participate in our virtual Shelter-in-Reading Challenge for Adults and Teens while we are all safe in our homes. Earn raffle tickets for every book and activity you complete. Raffle tickets will be drawn twice a month, on the 15th and last day of the month for gift certificates to local restaurants. Friends of the Library Volunteer Appreciation

San Anselmo Town Books had planned its annual, and very popular, Volunteer Appreciation Party for Sunday, March 15; Coronavirus put an end to that. A planned feature of the party was a slide show featuring many of our volunteers in the bookstore and in the office handling our Amazon operation.
Instead, we held a "virtual" party and emailed the slide show to our volunteers. The response was an enthusiastic "thumbs up!" We thought San Anselmo Library patrons would enjoy the show, featuring your friends and neighbors who are also volunteers working hard for the library. Click here to view the slide show.

Night of the Poets Adapts to Shelter at Home

Sadly, the 17th annual Night of the Poets will not happen this year. This beloved San Anselmo tradition will not be lost to a virus, however. Celebrate a "Poem a Day" on our YouTube channel! Library staff will be reading poetry every day in honor of National Poetry Month and Night of the Poets.
We invite you to be a part of it, too! Please read, record, and send your poem to us at library@townofsananselmo.org and we'll upload it onto our YouTube channel. Poetry will continue to thrive in our community as we all come together in a new, but still meaningful way.
