Rita's Quilt

Hear the incredible story of when 150 artists from across the country worked together to finish #RitasQuilt.
Shannon Downey, crafter, activist, and serial estate sale shopper, stumbled upon hundreds of pieces of fabric, decorated with stars and the outlines of the 50 U.S. states at an Illinois sale. She felt compelled to finish it in honor of the original artist who had passed on – but she also knew that she could not do it alone. Shannon put out a call on Instagram and over 1,000 volunteers from across the U.S. and Canada responded within 24 hours. Join us when Shannon shares the inspirational story of Rita’s Quilt on Monday, August 10 at 6:30pm.
