Town Books Now Open Three Days a Week

Store Hours: Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, 10am-4pm
Donation Times: Mondays, 1-4 and Fridays, 11-2

Our wonderful volunteers are once again stepping up and we are now open on Fridays, as well as Wednesdays and Saturdays. The store is thoroughly cleaned and sanitized and you must wear a mask at all times. There are also hand-sanitizing facilities. We still have a limited number of shoppers at any given time, and we have a plexiglass divider at our counter. We accept cash and checks, but no credit cards.
Donations are accepted only during our donation times: Mondays, 1-4, and Fridays, 11-2. Because of health guidelines, our donations are quarantined for 72 hours, and we accept individual donations up to 3 boxes/bags per household. Volunteers will accept donations in the parking lot behind the store.
For more information, call 415-526-3791 or go to www.townbooks.org. Proceeds from Town Books benefit the San Anselmo Public Library.

Letters to Leprechauns!

Final day to drop off a letter is Monday, March 15!
This is our first ever Letters To Leprechauns Program! How it works:

  1. Have your child write a letter to a Leprechaun
  2. Include a self-addressed and stamped envelope so that a response may be easily mailed from the "Port of Gold”.
  3. Drop off your child's letter in our "Port of Gold" mailbox, located in the library garden behind town hall (525 San Anselmo Ave).

Your child will receive an exciting and silly letter back from a Leprechaun with secret hints to find hidden shamrocks around town.
This program is sponsored by the San Anselmo Recreation Department, Library, and Age Friendly.

Drawing from Home: A series of virtual drawing classes for adults with Janet Jacobs

4th Wednesday of the month at 11am on Zoom
Next workshop: March 24

Drawing is one of the easiest ways of losing oneself in the delight of the here and now. Taking pen or pencil to paper and drawing from our immediate surroundings has a way of grounding us. Join us for a guided hour of drawing from home -- or wherever you find yourself.
This is an ongoing series. You're welcome to join for one, two, or all of the workshops. We will cover line drawing of shapes, negative spaces, texture and gesture, and more.
Interested in attending? Email sleyland@townofsananselmo.org to register for the series.
