In-Person Browsing on Wednesdays

It is finally happening! Starting Wednesday, April 21, the San Anselmo Library will be open every Wednesday, 10am-4pm, for in-person browsing. In-person browsing means you will once again be able to wander the stacks and find those gems you've been missing.

Here's a glimpse at what the Browsing Library will be like:

back door
  • The elevator will be the main entrance and the front door will be the exit to help create a consistent traffic flow.
  • Visits to the library last 30-minutes. No appointment necessary. Enjoy browsing the collection of books, DVDs, audiobooks, and magazines as well as picking up holds and checking out materials.
Jennifer at curbside
  • You will see our curbside staging area.
  • Only digital newspapers are currently available. Click here to read The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The San Francisco Chronicle, and The Marin Independent Journal online with your library card.
  • No sitting. Chairs have been removed to maximize social distancing space but the tables remain.
Jennie at Reference
  • There are plexiglass guards around our service desks.
  • You will be able to use the self-check machine or staff can assist you with checking out materials. Please bring your library card when you visit us.
  • Internet computers will be available in the future.
  • All library programs will continue to be virtual.

We look forward to seeing you!
