The exhibition will be on view September 1 -- September 24 at the

Art Talk Tuesday
Wangechi Mutu: I Am Speaking, Are You Listening?

Tuesday, September 14 at 12pm on Zoom

You are invited to witness a cultural exchange hundreds of years in the making. Wangechi Mutu: I Am Speaking, Are You Listening? is a powerful exhibition currently at the Legion of Honor. Docent Sharon Walkton will introduce you to Wangechi Mutu and her art, which includes bold sculptures of powerful female characters and fantastical hybrid beings mad from bronze, branches, bone, and gemstones. Discover how these provocative pairings challenge long-established ideas about race, gender, and colonialism.
Interested in attending? Email sleyland@townofsananselmo.org to register and get the Zoom link.
