| Amenities San Anselmo's most developed park has several sports fields, grassy areas, tennis courts, outdoor facilities and a children's playground. Millennium Playground Millennium Playground was built by 1,500 volunteers in May 2000 during a one week period. The playground was designed by the children of San Anselmo and incorporates San Anselmo themes, such as a train depot, seminary tower and Town Hall tower. The Millennium Playground Community Advisory Committee was created in 2021 to oversee the volunteer efforts for the restoration and enhancement of the playground Elders' Garden Elders' Garden is located adjacent to Millennium Playground. The garden was designed to bring together generations. It is a tranquil, relaxing place for sitting, contemplating, or playing chess, checkers and horseshoes. It provides wonderful opportunities for community members and school groups to learn about gardening. Memorial Skate Park The Recreation department worked with volunteers to build the skate park in 2017. It has been a popular gathering spot for skaters ever since. Red Hill Turf Field Adjacent to Memorial Park is the large Red Hill Turf Field managed in partnership with Tamalpais High School District - it is the home field to Archie Williams High School soccer and lacrosse, and San Anselmo & Ross Valley community youth soccer and lacrosse leagues. Red Hill Dog Park Behind the Red Hill Turf Field is the Red Hill Dog Park - fenced with locations for water and trash - is a favorite gathering and exercising spot for dogs and dog lovers alike. The Red Hill Dog Park Steering Committee is a good source of knowledge about this town amenity. It was formed to provide input to the town regarding ongoing operation of the Red Hill Dog Park and to serve in an advisory capacity to the town regarding dog use issues at other town parks |
